It allows you to tune your accelorator pump setting in seconds, generating an extremely quick and crisp throttle response in your Honda CRF450X or other dirt bike. The kit includes four parts: the power pump<span id="more-210"></span>, adjustable Leak Jet, Linkage Spring and Leak Jet Plug. The &#8220;Anti-cavitation&#8221; accelerator pump chamber is designed with two separate fuel ports. This unique design creates a natural purge with port one, meaning that entrapped air escapes through the leak jet hole. This also means that the second port is isolated and low in the fuel sump area resulting in fuel only into the venturi, not air.</p>
<p><span> </span>&#8220;The Original&#8221; Power Pump w/ALJ<span> </span>is very easy to tune, meaning you can start getting quicker, more crisp throttle response almost instantly. When testing the world&#8217;s fastest bike, researchers at F2 noticed that it would start to &#8220;run lean&#8221; at very high speeds, as the stock float bowl cap allows fuel to flow away from the center, where the jets are fed. With this $30 cap, performance is improved dramatically, as the fuel flow is more direct. At sustained high speeds, the problem of the bike &#8220;running lean&#8221; or not getting enough fuel, is eliminated and a far more consistent top speed is achieved. The Fast-Cap is a relatively small after market part that fits on to an existing carburetor. F2 claims that in nearly any kind of racing, the top speed is not only more consistent than with the stock, but also higher. <span id="more-199"></span>On the world&#8217;s fastest dirt bike they were able to obtain another 800 RPM and an extra 6 miles per hour in the top speed! And this was with no other modifications, just the simple $30 F2 Fast-cap.</p>

The cap is said to achieve a far more constant fuel flow, which means a far crisper throttle response, exactly what many trail riders are looking for in a product. This billet aluminum float bowl not only has more fuel capacity for the times your carb burbles over the breaking bumbs or choppy whoop sections, it also is tunable and has a more powerful accelerator pump. You can tune the leak jet to achieve better timing for the accelerator pump which in turn cleans up your pilot circuit for a crisp throttle response.<span id="more-100"></span> Owner and designer <strong>Dean Dickerson</strong> explains his product like this: â€œWith the advent of high performance 4 stroke engines, carburetor hesitation is a far too common occurrence. Temporary lack of fuel supply, caused by air pockets finding their way to jet passages, also cavitation in the accelerator pump, can quickly deflate a riderâ€™s confidence in his machine. The R&amp;D Power Bowl is a sure fix for these problems. During hard landings and high speed impacts, excessive fuel splash currently exists. Splashing coupled with excessive clearance around the production fuel baffle, allows air pockets to reach the main and pilot jet, resulting in an extreme lean condition, commonly known as bogging.</p>

<p>With a street price of about $40 the Wirtz Quick Shot accelerator pump cover is a great addition to your CRF.  The aftermarket accelerator pump covers help put more fuel in the intake when you crack that throttle open.  I personally use one by Boyesen. <span id="more-154"></span> This mod does have it&#8217;s opponents though.  It&#8217;s a part that may or may not improve the feel of your bike depending upon your riding style.  If your slow on the gas and give the motor plenty of time to respond on its own then this mod isn&#8217;t for you.  If however you want a snappy ride try one of these out.</p>
<p>Compared to some others on the market this item is made out of billet aluminum while some of the others are cast.</p>

<p>PROBLEM SOLVER<br />
With the advent of high performance 4 stroke engines, carburetor hesitation is a far too common occurrence. Temporary lack of fuel supply, caused by air pockets finding their way to jet passages, also cavitation in the accelerator pump, can quickly deflate a riders confidence in his machine. The &#8221;R&#038;D POWER BOWL&#8221; is a sure fix for these problems.</p>
<p>JET CHAMBER<br />
During hard landings and high speed impacts, excessive fuel splash currently exists. Splashing coupled with excessive clearance around the production fuel baffle, allows air pockets to reach the main and pilot jet, resulting in an extreme lean condition, commonly known as &#8221;bogging.&#8221;</p>
<p>The &#8221;R&#038;D POWER BOWL&#8221; designed with our new &#8221;ZERO TOLERANCE JET CHAMBER&#8221;, minimizes existing clearances eliminating the possibility of fuel evacuation around the main and pilot jet area. (no bog)</p>
<p>ACCELERATOR PUMP<br />
Our &#8221;ANTI-CAVITATION&#8221; Accelerator pump is State of the Art, designed with two separate fuel ports. Port one, is positioned at the highest point in the fuel chamber, providing a natural purge, allowing entrapped air to escape through the leak jet orifice. Port two, is isolated low in the fuel sump area, assuring &#8216;FUEL ONLY&#8217; into the venturi.</p>
<p>PUSHING THE ENVELOPE<br />
With all the new advances in the &#8221;R&#038;D POWER BOWL&#8221;, we also included an externally adjustable leak jet for fine tunning, it&#8217;s just a quick and easy hand adjustment. The ball check valve has also been redesigned, relocated at the bottom of the pump cover for a more consistant fuel supply.<br />
The stock steel ball in the check valve has also been replaced with a nylon type for an improve responce time during hard landing and harsh impacts.</p>

The result, increased horsepower a cooler running bike, no more popping on deceleration from the exhaust and a 1.5 pound decrease in weight. <span id="more-35"></span> That&#8217;s all important for us here in California with the Red Sticker/Green Sticker bikes.  Getting smog approval gives you a Green Sticker and the freedom to ride all year without time or area constraints. <p>The kit is available for all years of the CRF450X including 07.  For 07 Honda changed the needle design and it requires a little different setup so be sure if you order the kit you get one for the correct year.</p>
<p>The most unique thing about this kit is the air injection block off.  It&#8217;s correctly shaped to match the exhaust port on the CRF450X head and according to the manufacturer the bike will run cleaner and crisper with the fitted piece as compared to an ordinary unit.</p>
<p>They warranty the workmanship and that everything will fit right.</p>
<p>According to <a title="Dirt Bike Magazine" href="http://www.dirtbikemagazine.com/">Dirt Bike Magazine</a> &#8220;The Power Back kit should be the first thing you buy for your bike!&#8221;</p>

2005 CRF450X<br />
Competition Use Only</p>
<p>It is the dealer&#8217;s responsibility to investigate any potential law violation pertaining to these modifications.  You should refer to the procedures based on a customer request to ride the CRF450X in closed course competition only.</p>
<p>To increase performance for closed course competition use only, follow the steps below.  You must make all of the changes to gain more performance.</p>
<p>1.  Confirm the customer will be racing the CRF450X on closed course race circuits such as motocross tracks where they will not be violating noise or emissions regulations.</p>
<p>We recommend you write the following or similar text on work order, sales invoices, or parts receipts:<br />
Customer understands parts installation and performance modifications are not emissions or noise compliant and are for closed course competiton use only.  Riding in non-competition, non-closed course setting may result in the customer receiving fines or penalties for vioulation of noise limits or exhaust emission laws.</p>
<p>2.  Replace the standard CRF450x camshaft with a CRF450R camshaft.<br />
-Camshaft<br />
P/N: 13110-MEN-670, H/C: 7530843</p>
<p>3.  Replace the standard CRF450X exhaust header pipe and protector with CRF450R parts.  Also replace the exhaust gaskets.</p>
<p>-Exhaust Header Pipe<br />

<p>-Exhaust Gasket<br />

<p>4.  Replace the standard carburetor parts.</p>
<p>-Main Jet (from #142 to #162)<br />
P/N: 99101-357-1620, H/C: 0419200</p>
<p>-Jet Needle<br />
Change the clip position from #2 to #5</p>
<p>-Leak Jet (from #70 to #65)<br />
(Accel. pump bleed)<br />
P/N: 99108-KSC-0650, H/C: 7660558</p>
<p>5.  Set the pilot screw to 1 3/4 turns out.</p>
<p>6.  Remove the diffuser pipe from the muffler.</p>
<p>7.  Increase the airbox opening as follows:</p>
<p>-Remove the subframe and airbox.</p>
<p>-Drill out the two pop rivets holding on the air snorkel and remove it.</p>
<p>-Cut othe section shown inside the raised cut line while wearing eye protection.</p>
<p>-Reinstall the airbox and the subframe.</p>
<p>9.  Behind the left side cover there is a &#8220;natural&#8221; color main coupler.  On the ECU side of this natural coupler there is a Pink wire.  Underneathe the Pink wire is a blank terminal plugged with a rubber cap.</p>
<p>Swap the positions of the Pink wire and the rubber cap.  Reconnect the coupler to the wiring harness. 10.  Remove the noise and emission compliant label from the rear fender.</p>
<p>Remind the customer these modifications are for closed course competition use only.</p>
