What happend to the CRF450X?

CRF450X - 450X Admin wrote this in the wee hours:

It’s been over 2 years since Honda released the specifications on the newest CRF450X. That was for the 2009 CRF450X on September 5th 2008. Honda skipped introducing anything for 2010. And now the 2011 CRF450R has been introduced (almost 4 months ago on July 20th 2010) and we still have no word on a new CRF450X offering. While rumors abound that the next model will be fuel injected and completely redesigned with a 6 speed it seems more that the economic climate has taken hold seeing as there hasn’t been any news on the CRF250X either (it also has not had a new model released in 2 years). Is the X just not popular enough to keep Honda developing the platform, or is something major in the works?

    Honda manufactured to many of the 2009 CRF450x models. they are selling off the inventory to a low level and waiting to release anything about a new X model.
