HID lighting options from Baja Designs for the CRF450X

In preparation for the Las Vegas to Reno race that it looks like a few friends and I will run I was researching headlight options. My personal opinion is that HID lighting works better in the desert. The color seems to let things stand out better than a standard Halogen light. So knowing that Baja Designs is the company that most people go to when they need race quality lighting that’s where I’ve turned first. (more…)

Works Connection skid plate for the Honda CRF450X

The Works Connection Skid Plate. It’s the most expensive skid plate available for the CRF450X. But it’s definitely one that has more manufacturing work that goes into it compared to the others. Every piece of this well designed plate fits tight and snug around the motor and frame. It’s built durable and looks good and does a great job protecting your bikes vital organs from being punctured with a rock or boulder. Street price is up close to $200, and I feel it’s worth the money given the fit and finish and the amount of protection that the unit delivers. But there are some drawbacks to this particular skid plate that I’ve come across. (more…)

CRF450X Rekluse z-Start Pro Clutch Available in June

There are many who claim the Rekluse is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Perfect clutch feathering, never stalling, ability to lock up the brakes and being able to ride a gear higher are just some of the benefits the public has mentioned. Rekluse has released the newest clutch and will be available for the Honda CRF450X next month in June.

Looking to upgrade your factory wheels and hubs to that trick after market look? Do you want red hubs just like Windham, McGrath and the rest of the Team Honda Factory guys use? Well unfortunately stock hubs don’t have very many options when it comes time to upgrade their looks. Their are plenty of coatings out there that will give you a different look, but to truly have that anodized look your going to have to buy new hubs. (more…)
